Every ceremony is conducted by a qualified Imam trained in classical Islamic jurisprudence, with years of experience officiating nikah for couples across different countries and circumstances.
They handle the parts other services find difficult. Reverts with no Muslim family. Brides without a wali available. Couples in different countries with families watching from a third. These aren’t unusual cases to them, and they’ll tell you honestly what applies to your situation before you book.
A nikah is a religious marriage under Islamic law, and it isn’t registered with any government. That’s just as true of a nikah at your local mosque as it is of one held online.
For most couples that’s exactly what they’re looking for. The nikah is what makes the marriage valid in Islam, and that’s what matters to them. If you’d also like it recognised legally, that’s a separate step you can take whenever you’re ready – a county clerk in the United States, a provincial licence in Canada, or a register office in the UK.
Yes. What makes a nikah valid is the contract itself, not the room it takes place in. Islamic law sets out what’s required: a clear offer and acceptance made in one sitting, two adult Muslim witnesses who can hear it, an agreed mahr, and the bride’s consent freely given.
A live video call meets all of this. You and your partner hear and answer one another in real time, your witnesses are present and listening, and your Imam confirms each condition before pronouncing the marriage complete. What scholars have always required is that everyone is genuinely present to the exchange, and video does that.
Your Imam will walk you both through it beforehand, so you know what’s being said and when.
Yes. If the bride doesn’t have a wali available, we can appoint one for the ceremony in accordance with Islamic guidance.
The wali is the bride’s guardian, usually her father, and his role is to consent to the marriage on her behalf and be present when the contract is made. Where he can attend, we’d always encourage it. But there are plenty of situations where that isn’t possible, and none of them need to stop a marriage going ahead.
Circumstances vary, and so does the guidance that applies to them. If you’re not sure where you stand, speak to us before booking and we’ll talk it through with you.
Yes. If you don’t have your own, we can provide two practising Muslim witnesses for your ceremony.
A valid nikah requires two adult Muslim witnesses of sound mind who are present when the offer and acceptance are made, and who can clearly hear both of you. On a video call they join the same link as everyone else.
Many couples bring their own, often a brother, a friend, or a member of the community. Others would rather keep the ceremony between themselves, or simply don’t have two people nearby who can join. Either way it’s straightforward to arrange.
Yes, and we do this often. You’re a Muslim, and your nikah is arranged exactly as it would be for anyone else.
The practical questions are usually about family. If you have no Muslim relatives to act as wali, or nobody to stand as witness, we can arrange both. If your family isn’t Muslim and would like to watch, they’re welcome to join the call. Your Imam can also explain what’s happening as the ceremony goes along, so nobody is left guessing.
If you’re newly Muslim and unsure what’s expected of you, ask us. Nothing about the process assumes you already know.
Yes, in the case Islamic law permits. A Muslim man may marry a woman from the People of the Book, meaning a practising Christian or Jewish woman, and we arrange those ceremonies in the usual way. Your wife doesn’t need to convert, and the nikah is conducted exactly as any other.
A Muslim woman’s marriage to a non-Muslim man isn’t valid in Islam, so that isn’t something we can carry out.

All of them. The ceremony takes place over video, so where you are makes no difference to whether we can marry you. Most of our couples are in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and across Europe, but we’ve conducted ceremonies for couples on every continent.
You and your partner don’t need to be in the same country either. Plenty of our couples aren’t, and we schedule around the time difference.
Around twenty minutes from joining the call to being married.
Your Imam opens with a khutbah, confirms the mahr with you both, and takes the offer and acceptance in front of your witnesses. Once both of you have said qabool, he closes with a dua and you’re married.
If family are watching, allow a little longer so everyone can join and settle before you begin. Plenty of couples stay on the call afterwards for congratulations.
You don’t need to. Most of our couples don’t speak Arabic either.
Your Imam recites the khutbah, and you say qabool to accept the marriage. If there’s a dua or a short phrase he’d like you to repeat, he’ll say it line by line and you follow along. He goes through all of it with you beforehand, so there’s nothing to memorise and nothing to worry about getting wrong.
Everything else, including the mahr and the terms of the contract, is discussed in English so you both understand exactly what you’re agreeing to.
Both of your full names, dates of birth, and the mahr you have agreed. If you are bringing your own wali or witnesses, we will need their names too. Nothing else is required to book.
Yes. Anyone you invite can join using the same link, from anywhere in the world. Some couples have a handful of guests, others keep it to themselves and their witnesses.
Both of your names, the mahr agreed, your witnesses, the date of the ceremony, and the name of the Imam who conducted it. It is issued digitally straight after the ceremony.
Your Imam will wait and resume once everyone is back. Nothing is concluded until both of you have given your offer and acceptance in front of your witnesses, so a dropped connection cannot leave you half married.
Yes. Let us know as early as you can and we will find another time. If you decide not to go ahead at all, you are refunded in full up before the ceremony.
Payment is taken securely online when you book. Every cost, including anything you add such as a wali or witnesses, is shown before you pay.
No. Somewhere quiet with a stable connection is all that matters. Most couples are at home.
Yes, though a laptop or tablet is easier if family are joining. All you need is a device with a camera and a working microphone.
That is very common. Your Imam goes through the whole ceremony with you beforehand, tells you exactly when to speak, and guides you through it on the day. You will not be caught out.
